I’ve got the chance to visit four of these cafes (1) Pave, (2) Open, (3) Upcycle and (4) Gogol & Company and they all were really amazing. Loved the atmospheres and the people one can find in these places.
I visited all four and spent no less than 3 hours in each, and as much as 7 hours at Open! I went there and basically spent hours typing on my laptop (writing fiction).
Must say, they all have good coffee. Pave had really good sandwiches. The setting is more social at Pave and Open than others. Upcycle had great juices and cakes – but very uncomfortable chairs for long stays, like a bicycle I guess. Food and drinks isn’t Open’s main thing. But both Open and Gogol’s thing is a place for long study/work quite zones.
Tank you for your feedback and experience dear Modhayan!I’m very happy that you enjoy my post and found it usefull 😀
Thanks for the tips, I will certainly go try a few of these to change my current working environment, meaning Princi 25 Aprile, which I know is a chain, but that certainly deserves a good spot on your list. Tried as well Otto in the chinese quarter thatis also a great place to land for a day of work.
Thank you Romain for your advices! I’ve been included Otto in my post
so your experience should be the experience of someone else!
So glad to have found this article as I’m currently in Milan and having a hard time finding good spots to work.
Open has been my go-spot so far. They charge you (a decent fee) for the wifi but it’s a great place with great people. The coffee is pretty good too. I’ve found it to be the closest thing to co-sharing offices I’m used to in Montreal and SF.
I’ve visited Ca’puccino but it felt more like a restaurant. The free wifi was a blessing though; it seems pretty rare in Milan. People kept coming in/out just to eat or chat; we were only two actually working or reading.
Next up will probably be Otto or Pave.
Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much for your precious feedback, Frank!!
